Process The first step in developing your film into a physical photo is to put the film frame you want to develop into the negative carrier. Then you'll need to adjust the tray where the paper is so that it's aligned just right. Once you get it aligned to your preference you can adjust the focus of how high or low the light is. Then you can put the paper in and set your timer for how long you want it to be exposed (The most common time is 5 seconds). Once the paper is exposed you have to move rather quickly to submerge it into the developer until it is developed to your liking. When it's out of the developer, place your paper into the stop bath for about 10 seconds. Next you put it into the fixer for 2 minutes so that it can neutralize the 2 previous chemicals. Lastly you can put your paper into the holding bath and swish it around the get the remaining chemicals off. As well as using a sponge brush to dry it off a little before you hang it up to let it fully dry. |
